Weekend Project: Stock up!

We are working on several projects at Impress and are excited about our new release!  Our annual sale is also right around the corner as well!  All of this means, that we are busy working on new samples to put on the web and in the store.  However, it's amazing how many times I will have stuff around my desk that has been stamped from a previous project or just other ribbons, scraps, you name it and then it will get incorporated into a card that wasn't originally meant for that card.  To be honest, it's Friday and the kids just got out of school and our spring break has started.  I didn't get all of the things on my list completed today so I thought I would quick die cut several word dies and water color some background paper.  It seems like it might be a good plan to build up on some of those supplies so that I can have some good stuff laying around on my desk.  I might not have a plan for them right now but it's nice to have a reserve to pull from.  I love putting different combinations of watercolors together.

I used my handy Kuretake  Gansai Tambi, I like the bright colors.  I also use Tim Holtz watercolor paper.  It's a nice bright white and the watercolor stays true and doesn't fade once it's dry.

When I'm making a stash of words, I'll die cut  gold mirror paper, black and dark slate.  These are pretty basic and seems to be what I end up using anyway.  They are pretty safe colors for my cards. Have a great weekend!
