This card is currently on our front counter at the store and everyone loves it. It uses a new wood mounted rubber stamp from Savvy Stamps. I like it because it's one you can use all year long for all kinds of occasions. It's called falling stars. Here's how to make the card.
Stamp falling stars with a Versamark pad and emboss with white powder. Then mask off a rectangular area around the stars with JudiKins Eclipse masking tape and add the blue background using a blender brush. used Fresh ink ink island.  The trees and bear are from Flora and Fauna's mini winter polar bear clear stamp set.  Stamp the bear and out with a detail scissors.  Attach to the card with mounting tape to add a little dimension.

Thanks for stopping by the coffee lovers blog hop.

Are you ready to make your holiday cards? Here's one idea that might inspire you. Cut the coffee cup die from white card stock and the band from white felt. Add a thin layer of Nuvo's Crystal Glaze to the lid to make it look like plastic. We just love Trinity Stamps peppermint candy discs. They add the finishing touch!

    Just dropping by . . .

The Savvy spider is one of my favorite dies. I think I like it because it's so big and makes such a bold statement on a card. It's just the right amount of scary too!  I don't want my spiders to be too realistic. Cut the spider from black foam or felt which ever you like.

The background for this card looks great against the bold spider. Here's how to make it. Cut the Savvy spider web die out of a piece of text weight paper to make a stencil. Simply move the stencil around and as you do, add color with your stencil brush and Fresh ink silver lilac pad. Don't worry about being too exact.  It's the look we want.  Stamp happy halloween with your versafine onyx black pad.

We hope you enjoyed this project!

We're in full Halloween mode at Impress. We love this season and have so much fun making cards and treats for friends and family. Here's how to make a cute card with the new alphabet die set from Pink Fresh.
The background for this card uses our popular thin stripe border rubber stamp. We LOVE this stamp and use it again and again. It was stamped with Fresh ink tangerine. Have a sweet holiday greeting is also an Impress red rubber stamp. It was stamped on white cardstock and then cut out and mounted on the card with foam tape. The candy corn border was stamped on white Neenah classic cardstock with Memento tuxedo black ink. This smooth paper is what we like to use when coloring with Copic markers.  We colored the image and then die cut BOO using the Pink Fresh alphabet die set. We also cut the letters out of black foam and glued the stamped and colored letters to that.  The white dots were made with our favorite Uni-Bal white pen.  The white ink really pops against the dark background.

We hope you enjoyed this project! Order online between now and Sunday Sept.29  and enjoy 30% off the highest price item in your shopping cart with code "boo".

Surprise a friend with a handmade card. It'll make their day!

Making this card is quick and easy and it doesn't need much direction.  Just stamp and color!  Here's a few tips. Stamp with Memento ink when coloring with copic alcohol markers. We used a R14 copic marker to add fun detail. Even if you can't draw, it's simple to doodle on the flower pots with a few dots and lines. We like to stamp our greetings with a Versafine pad. It stamps really crisp and is one of the blackest blacks.

This project starts with an A2 white folded notecard. The background is stamped with copper twig and tomato red Fresh ink using stamps from Flora and Fauna's texture set 8. The other stamps used are from their Hedgehog Life clear set. It has matching dies so it's easy to cut out the jar after it's stamped and mount it with foam tape so it stands away from the base card.  A bow and adorable little clay mushrooms add the finishing touch.

Turn your plain white note card into a patterned one with Flora and Fauna's thin stripe stencil. We positioned it so the stripes are diagonal used the new picket fence  blender brushes and copper twig fresh ink. Have you ever noticed how once you start using a certain color you like, you can't stop? That's how we are with copper twig this summer. It's a great subtle warm color, especially for backgrounds like this.

Now cut some circles for your fruit. It's amazing how useful circle dies can be! They're a basic set of dies everyone should own. To make the seeds diecut Impress' rain die in black  and white cardstock and glue to your fruit. Cut a strip of white paper to create a tag embellishment. Stamp a pink background from Flora and Fauna's brush birthday clear stamp set and then the words for you. Add an eyelet to the tag, we use a crop a dile to set them and then tie the tag to the card with natural string

  • THANKS so much!

    THANKS so much!

Shaker cards take a little longer to make but they always delight the recipient.

Start with a white side folded notecard. Cut a white panel that's the size of the folded notecard and diecut the word Thanks on it using Flora and Fauna's Thanks die. On the front side of the panel, add a small banner that has the words "so much" from the Everyday Word Party 2 clear set stamped on it. On the back side of the panel tape a piece of Judikins' clear window plastic to cover the holes in the card. Then add a thin border of double stick mounting tape in a rectangle shape around the word, this will create a pocket for the confetti. We made our confetti by cutting a few thin strips of colored cardstock into tiny pieces. After sprinkling the confetti behind the letters, add a bit of Impress sparkle glitter. Attach mounting tape around the outside edge of the panel. Remove the protective paper on all the double stick tape and lay the base card down on the backside of the panel lining up the edges. Add small dots of Nuvo crystal drops to the front of the card. Let dry your shaker card is ready!
