We are excited to be back and participating in the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!
It's raining, it's pouring and the white cup is sprinkling some rain or coffee onto the flowers! I love this time of year when you can start to see signs of Spring. The first layer of this card is the rain drop background using a rain stencil, a dauber and Fresh Ink (aqua) ink pad. You only need to sponge the top portion of the card.
Next, I used some of my favorite Fresh Ink green ink pads (kale, mint, aloe) using a variety of foliage stamps. It's easy to mix and match foliage stamps. These weren't meant to be stamped together and are from a couple different companies but are perfect for stamping together on a card like this. You could easily do a combination similar to this as a full background.
The pink flower is a combo style so the flower is the main stamp and on the side, you'll find the flower center piece and also a solid leaf stamp that can go with the flower. I used Fresh Ink colors (grapefruit and persimmon) that compliment the greens.
I like the technique of placing a cut out going off the card. I stamped the polka boots in Fresh Ink (persimmon) ink and fussy cut before mounting into the card.
Thanks for participating! Be sure to go back to the main Coffee Lovers Blog Hop page and visit all of the vendors for your chance to win some prizes. Our prize is 10 free Fresh Ink pads of your choice. (60.00 value).
Good luck in the hop!
