Old Rose Sequins

IMG_4093

We always have new products arriving but I couldn't help to notice these fun little gems! I love copper and the rose gold look when it comes to metallic colors. I don't think it's always as popular or mainstream as gold or silver but it worked perfect for this card. We used a couple tried and true techniques to create the polka dot boot. First, you stamp the boot on your card and then you stamp the boot on your patterned paper. Cut out the patterned paper and place it on the stamped part of your card. This gives you endless colors and patterns for any outline type image. I also colored in the delicate flower bloom with a dauber, using my favorite Ginger Fresh Ink.

Sometimes the small details are the finishing touches. For the center dots, I used a glue pen and then dried the glue with my heat tool. Next, I pressed the gold foil over the dried glue area and the foil sticks to that spot.  It's a great and easy way to add foil.  To get a consistent outcome, I will run the card with the foil through my die cut machine.  The pressure is perfect.

I glued the sequins down using Glossy Accents - it dries clear and it's easy to apply with the tip to small areas.  The rest of the images are all stamped in Versafine Black Onxy ink. I love this new greeting stamp from Savvy Stamps - So happy for you!
