Oxide Ink and Upcoming Events

If you haven't heard, there's a new Tim Holtz Ink in town and it's called Distress Oxide Ink. It's so popular we can barely keep it in stock. There are 12 colors. They picked their most popular colors from the regular Distressed Ink line to start with.  The inks have a creamy chalk like appearance but they also activate with water.

I used the Tim Holtz blending tool to create my blend of colors using Cracked Pistachio, Broken China and Faded Jeans onto smooth white card stock. For the water effect, I sprinkled water onto the card using my fingers. It dries in a few minutes and then you have this fun background paper.

I like to create several pieces of colored paper at a time and then have them in my reserve for later. For this card, I used one of the new clear sets from Flora and Fauna. You can stop by our stores this weekend to receive 10% off your Flora and Fauna purchase, and if you buy 3 sets then you get a free Fresh Ink pad of your choice.

Have a great weekend! Stop by to check out all the fun new products that have arrived this week.
