  • Little Village Projects by Inchie Arts

Lisa Lee with Inchie Arts has created some fun samples using her Little Village Kits and a variety of 6x6 paper pads. She posted all about it on her blog, all in an inch, but we couldn't resist sharing this great idea. The paper pads are typically color coordinated and perfect to use to creating a village scene using these Little Village components.

This accordian style village scene is my favorite.  There are so many possibilities with this lovely 6x6 paper pad and especially love the added winter scene die to go with the village. Thanks Lisa for the inspiration!

  • Guest Blogger: Lisa Spangler - Day 5

Happy Friday! It's our final day with guest blogger, Lisa Spangler! It's hard to pick from all of the great cards that have been shared this week but I love these cards.  The idea of the package shape on front of the card with the ornament tag is beyond cute. The kraft paper looks like it's printed polka dot paper but she added the dots herself using Dr. PH Martin's bleed proof white. The images are from the new Winter Wonderland clear set by Savvy Stamps.

All of the snowglobe tags are watercolored and cut out by hand. It's great to see them up close because you can see all of the detail and the little added goodies. The small puffy red heart is my favorite. I also love the peppermint twine.

    let-it-snow-overall2

Lisa has an eye for color and this is a great combination using some of our new Fresh Ink colors (papaya, indian ocean and peony). However, my favorite part of this card that she made with Savvy Stamps Let it Snow clear set is the cute snowman that she used to replace the letter "o" in snow.  How cute is that?

She heat embossed the images with clear sparkle embossing powder by Hero Arts and added lots of clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

  • Guest Blogger: Lisa Spangler - Day 3

It's Day 3 with our guest blogger, Lisa Spangler and we are singing joy to the world with this beauty.

     polar-bear-overall

Our polar bear has been our mascot this season and we are super impressed by this card that Lisa created using him. She watercolored the background to look like star trails and mixed silver finetec metallic paint to make it shimmer!  Again, the realistic snow bank adds a dimension to the card that makes the polar bear to appear that he is standing in the snow.

Here is a close up to show the shimmer and the coloring detail that you see on the polar bear and the banner.  The metallic stars adds the finishing touch.

  • Guest Blogger: Lisa Spangler - Day 2

It's Day 2 with our guest blogger, Lisa Spangler! Merry Moose-mas is the theme for today and you will not be disappointed with what Lisa created using one of our new clear moose themed sets.
    merry-moosemas-overallmerry-moosemas-detail2

I love how festive this card is and how Lisa used the stamps in this set to create different garlands. One of my favorite parts is how she used the Hero Arts neon pink ink pad to make the card pop. The other Fresh Ink colors (kale, peony and aloe) really go well together with the neon pink.

Lisa also added detail to the holly and the centers of the flowers with the pink moonlight gelly roll pen.

    merry-moosemas-envelope

What a cute way to decorate an envelope! Love the added detail of using a few other gelly roll pens to make a polka dot mailbox or should I say moosebox and the neon pink tape.  Everything coordinates from the card to the finishing touches on the envelope.  Who wouldn't be excited to receive this in the mail?

You are going to see some beautiful and creative cards this week. It's so inspiring to see someone create a realistic scene with just a few stamps. I love how the trees are stamped, the white snow hill and the beautiful watercolor lines on the trees.  Lisa stamped the birch trees using Momento gray flannel ink and then heat set it prior to watercoloring.  She said she wanted to use gray to make the lines softer, like real birch.

The santa hat is a sticker and Lisa hand cut a piece of red felt for the scarf.

  • Guest Blogger! Lisa Spangler from Sideoats & Scribbles

Hi all! We are beyond thrilled to be so lucky to have Lisa Spangler as our guest blogger for the entire week!  We love everything that Lisa creates and her eye for taking pictures.  We met Lisa several years ago when she was working for Hero Arts and knew instantly that she was someone that had a similar creative style as Impress. You can follow her on her blog, sideoats and scribbles or on her other social media outlets. We love everything she shares and you might even learn a few things about Texas!

    cork-bottles-overall

These 3 cards are so adorable!  This clear set is called Holidays in a Bottle and we love how Lisa created all of these little scenes making each card different and unique.

    cork-stamping

My favorite part is how she stamped the cork top onto a real cork coaster! She used a couple different colors but thought the Fresh Ink kale color worked the best since it's a little darker and has the most contrast.  First, you ink the cork stamp, then stamp into the coaster and it picks up the texture onto the back of the stamp so when you stamp on the paper you will end up with the pattern of the cork.  She used a cork coaster from IKEA, they are super inexpensive.
    cork-house-detail

It's fun so see these cards up close to see all of the detail. She used Fresh Ink blush to stamp the bottle and used kale, peony and aloe for the other images.  The combination of colors look so well together against the green card stock.  It's a perfect combination of the stamped centerpiece design with the stitched frame around the edge, a hint of glitter, the simple happy holidays banner and some holiday twine.

    cork-mountains-detail

I love the watercolor detail on the mountain stamp.  It's a perfect touch and adds so much depth to the card.

This is just the start of a great week of amazing cards designed by Lisa! Join us each day and don't forget to leave a comment! We want to give Lisa a warm welcome and we will have a winner at the end of the week!  All you have to do is make a comment, each day - Monday through Friday and you will be entered to win a fun prize which will include a variety of the products she used for her cards!  We look forward to hearing from you!
